WHAT'S CHARGE UP?

ChargeUp! offers Government Grants to eligible businesses and organizations to support the development of EV charging infrastructure across Western Australia. It encourages the installation of EV chargers at places like tourist attractions, cafes, wineries, beaches, swimming pools, and parks. Car parks of eligible businesses are also encouraged as supported charging locations, allowing employees and visitors to charge their EVs while on-site. The program also encourages the conversion of rental car fleets to electric vehicles through the charging infrastructure needed to support the transition.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE FOR THE GRANT?

The grant is available to small to medium businesses, not-for-profit organizations, and local authorities in Western Australia. Eligible small to medium-sized businesses are, A: a small business employing less than 20 people or B: a medium-sized business employing between 20 and 199 people. Eligible not-for-profit organizations should be registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). Eligible local authorities are as defined under the Local Government Act 1995

HOW MUCH IS THE GRANT?

Businesses and organizations can get up to 50% of the purchase and installation costs of their EV charging infrastructure paid by the WA Government. This is the perfect time to invest in sustainable infrastructure.

ARE THERE LIMITS TO THE GRANT?

Funding is capped at $5,000 per site in the Greater Perth area and $10,000 per site in regional and remote areas. Funding covers up to four EV chargers per site for a maximum of five sites per applicant. This means that businesses with multiple locations can potentially receive $25,000 - $50,000 in funding support for their EV charging infrastructure projects.
