SUMMARY
The building administrator, who manages office's, is required by regulations to install multiple EV chargers in the office buildings' outdoor parking area. With that came requirements from building administrator:
CHALLENGE
• It is important to minimize on-site visits due to the high cost of labor. Additionally, there is a need for chargers that can provide consumption statistics to issue bills to individuals who use the charging services.
• The chargers must also have authentication options to ensure they are accessible only to employees working in the office.
• The charging solution should not overload the office's grid. Given the grid's limited capacity, the chargers' power should not exceed 22 kW.
• The office has a modern look, and the charger should complement the building's design.
SOLUTION
• With OCPP 1.6 protocol and OCPP platform, building administrators will be able to control chargers and collect data from multiple chargers to understand the status online and issue bills to individual users.
• When the OCPP platform is connected to the charger, there is an option for authentication through a mobile app.
• Dynamic load management distributes electrical power among multiple EV chargers connected to the same circuit, preventing any single charger from overloading the system.
• TeltoCharge has 5 front plate color options, including Accoya wood, allowing building administrators to choose a design for the charger that will suit the look of the office building. With swappable front plates, the look can be changed upon request, without the need for additional support.
